Event Centers Rental Contract
The Santee Cultural Arts and Visitors Center has been the hub of many activities since the completion in 2001. This beautiful building was formerly the Old Parler School and was completely refurbished by the Santee Development Association. The volunteers worked every Saturday for five years to bring this building back to life with the help of many generous donations and HUD grants.
The floors in the Center are the original heart pine planks which are well over 100 years old. You can even see where the old wood burning stove sat. In the renovations, some artifacts were found and preserved. The addition of electricity and plumbing, new siding, paint, a kitchen, and WIFI, have made this building a great place for family gatherings, small parties, art exhibits, meetings, and other gatherings.
Equipped with round tables, chairs, and a kitchen for warming food, the Cultural Arts Building is a convenient way to entertain for up to 100 persons. The fee for rental in $50.00 per hour. There is a $200 refundable security deposit required at the time of booking to hold your date. A picnic area outside the rear of the building is an added value at no extra charge when you are renting the Center. The picnic area has a pavilion with tables and benches and a large brick grill for outdoor cooking.
